Energy can be Destroyed – A Blueprint for Transferring it Across Generations

Image
I was a science student in Secondary School and one of the first things I learnt in Physics is the law of conservation of energy which states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only be converted from one form of energy to another. This means that a system always has the same amount of energy unless it's added from the outside. I agree, but there seems to be a notable area where this does not hold true. In the many years that I have observed and studied humans, I have slightly changed my views on the matter of the indestructibility of energy. To be clear, I am yet to see a contrary view on the matter as it pertains to physics and so I believe that the assertion about energy is still true in the physical world of physics. But in the realm of human interaction, some energy gets destroyed, it just goes puff, into thin air and disappears. Let us dig in a little because this matter is critical and can help you as you plan for posterity. Energy is the ability to do w...

The Watchful Eyes: A Reflective Journey to Better Conduct

When we interact with different people, we do not behave the same way with all of them.  Thus, the way they see us differs as well. One person may see us as callous, another wicked, yet someone may see us as a kind person. That is basically because we treat people differently, even if it is on the same matter. It is a known fact that we generally treat rich people with more deference than we do those who do not have plenty of material or other discernable value. But it ought not to be so. We also behave differently if we are alone or being observed by other people. Even if we are the vilest of men, there is almost a 100% probability that we will be well-mannered when observed by other people, especially those we care about. Let me share an experience with you. Perhaps, we can all learn to be the kindest of humans by adjusting our mindset a little bit. The road sweeper has done a great job sweeping the road after the heavy wind of the previous night littered it with leaves. At...
